Sheri Fash knew her house when she saw the ad in the paper forGrand Prairie in Joliet. It was a sketch of a 2-story house withshutters on the windows and a real front porch.
"It was the day after Christmas," Fash recalled. "I was lyingin bed. I said, `There's my house.' And my husband said, `You can'tpick a house out of a newspaper.' "
Sheri and her husband, Damien, are part of the land rush to WillCounty, where there are still open spaces, and a new home comes witha reasonable price tag.
Making that big jump into a new house is a big emotional step aswell as a financial one. And it takes some study.
